  • Billy the Goat

    Shaheen Bilgrami, Katy Rhodes

    Rag Book (B.E.S. Publishing, Feb. 28, 2002)
Carry Me Tales make wonderful little gifts for toddlers. Each has a soft cloth cover with a little handle at the top so that kids can carry it around like a miniature briefcase. The pages inside the cloth are sturdy cardboard with charming color illustrations and a little story that Mom or Dad can read aloud to baby. A Velcro-tipped tab keeps the covers shut. In this Carry Me Tale, Billy's mother makes him a Carry Me bag, and soon he is collecting all sorts of things in it. He gets a feather from a rooster, a pebble from the streambed from a fish, and many other things. At last, he puts all his things together to make a thank-you gift for Mom.
